World famous rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) has joined the cast of the upcoming Street Fighter video game movie.
He joins a diverse cast including A-Lister Jason Momoa (Fast and Furious X, Aquaman, Game Of Thrones), WWE wrestler Roman Reign, and gay country singer Orville Peck (set to play Vega).
50 Cent has reportedly been cast to play the part of Balrog, a character loosely based on Mike Tyson. In the game he was a disgraced ex-boxer, who served as a bodyguard for the main villain M-Bison.
The two lead characters of the game Ryu and Ken will be played by Andrew Koji, and Noah Centino. Andrew Koji is a British actor skilled in martial arts and previously starred in TV series The Warrior and Gangs Of London. You can see in the clip below, Andrew Koji will definitely be a solid addition to the cast.
The film will be produced by Legendary Pictures and Capcom and directed by Kitao Sakurai. So far the film does not have a set release date, having been delayed indefinitely from its estimated release in March 2026.
I lost hours of my life to this game – but the movie, it was a bit odd. Lets hope the live action movie improves on the original.
The original Street Fighter movie currently has an 11% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and was widely mocked by fans. The soundtrack was bumping though. Check out this track by MC Hammer and Deion Sanders.
